With the recent growth in new technology, I decided to design an app with the thought of utilizing the Microsoft Hololens in mind, for WestJet travellers. This is an app strictly designed for members of the WestJet Community. WestJet has always been about their customers, so why not create something that is strictly for the customer. This app brings exclusivity to WestJet members and allows them to form a community with one another. This app is created to be a social network between WestJetters and allows them to Share, Like, Favourite different destinations and places. It allows them to always see recent updated activity from all other WestJetters to consider new destinations. It also allows you to search and add your selections into a Planner so you’ll know exactly whats going on and when it’s happening.

 

One of the most important part is our Partnerships and Rewards. When WestJetters check-in to a sponsored location, they earn rewards. When they travel to a suggested location or trip by others in the community, they receive Rewards. This will drive more traffic towards these locations, not only from locals but from travellers around the world. Best thing is, you’re getting rewards!

 

The best part about this is combining the app with a new technology in the digital world. For Hololens users, we have incorporated a feature in the app which allows everything that you can do with the phone be hosted on the Hololens. The Hololens will display all your information in mixed reality and allow you to search, explore, check-in, and overall bring the experience of the app, from the phone into your life surroundings.
